Walking with Isaiah, Day 64: “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” - Isaiah 64:4.
The Apostle Paul references this Scripture in I Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
This is an absolute Truth. Since the beginning of this world, the things which Almighty God has prepared for us, His creation which He made in His very image and likeness, those of us who long for (wait for) Him and love Him and call upon His Name, His exceeding great and precious promises (I Peter 1:4) had not even been considered by us because they are exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” - I Corinthians 2:10. (The word “hath” means “has already”.)
What has God already revealed unto us that long for (wait for) Him and love Him and call upon His Name?
God has already revealed to us the things which He has already prepared for us.
How has our Father done this? What has He used to reveal to us His glorious preparations and plans?
“For God has unveiled them and revealed them to us through the [Holy] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things [diligently], even [sounding and measuring] the [profound] depths of God [the divine counsels and things far beyond human understanding].” - I Corinthians 2:10 AMP.
God has already unveiled and revealed to us His Divine counsels and things far beyond our limited, human understanding by His Holy Spirit who abides WITHIN every Christian.
Paul continues, “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” - I Corinthians 2:13-14.
Paul wrote the Church in Jerusalem, “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.” - Hebrews 6:9.
While salvation in Christ Jesus is the greatest and most glorious thing which God has already prepared for us, there is much more to our life in Christ Jesus than simply missing hell and making Heaven. God has already prepared for us and revealed to us His “things that accompany salvation”.
Paul also told the Corinthian Church, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” - I Corinthians 2:12.
There are many things which God has already prepared for us, things which are freely given us by God, things which accompany salvation; and some of these things include:
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” - I Corinthians 2:4-5.
“Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” - Romans 15:19.
“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.” - I Corinthians 12:1.
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” - Mark 16:17-18.
Again, Paul said, “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” - I Corinthians 2:13-14.
And he continued, “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” - I Corinthians 3:1-2.
Don’t be a natural, carnal Christian. There are higher things and there is a higher place in Christ Jesus which He has for us all. And His will is for us all to attain His things and His place, now in this time, on this earth, in this physical body, “things that accompany salvation”, that people be delivered and His Name be glorified.
Beloved Christian, I encourage you to read and meditate (seek God’s wisdom) on I Corinthians Chapter 2. It is so rich! Inquire of His Holy Spirit, who lives on the inside of you, and tune your ear to hear His Word and He shall reveal unto you the things which God has already prepared for you.
Happy New Year, 2018! A year of new beginnings!
