Walking with Isaiah, Day 59: “Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:” - Isaiah 59:1.
Why don’t we see God moving in miraculous ways more often, if ever? Why doesn’t He manifest His signs, wonders and miracles in our church services or in our personal lives?
Is He not able? Can He not hear our prayers? Have His miracles, signs and wonders all ceased and passed away? Are His wondrous things are not for us today? Has His arm been shortened? Has He changed? No.
There are two primary reasons so many of us Christians don’t see God’s miraculous power in operation in our worship services and in our personal lives:
The first reason: Lack of teaching which produces lack of faith.
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?…” - Romans 10:14. This not only applies to Salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ, it most certainly applies also to the miraculous power of God working through the Body of Christ, today.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” - Romans 10:17.
If we Christians do not hear the Truth in God’s Word regarding His affirmative will of working His miraculous power through the Body of Christ today, we cannot develop faith for operating in and experiencing His signs, wonders and miracles in our worship services and in our personal lives.
Who do the signs of the Lord Jesus Christ follow? Jesus, Himself, said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe;…” - Mark 16:17.
If the Church is not taught this Truth, we cannot develop belief for this Truth. And, according to Jesus, if the Church does not believe this Truth, His signs shall not follow us.
The second reason we believers, by and large, do not experience Father’s miraculous power today: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” - Isaiah 59:2.
If we, the Church, the ones that do believe that these signs shall follow us, if we do not repent of and lay aside our iniquitous thoughts and ways, and if we do not turn and lay hold of God’s thoughts and ways, God will not hear us and He will not work through us.
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” - II Corinthians 6:16 - 7:1.
When God “dwells” in us, we are made new creatures (creations) in Christ Jesus (II Corinthians 5:17).
But when God “walks” in us, He is working in us and He is working through us.
However, in order for God to work in and through us, we must first do something.
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” - II Corinthians 7:1.
When we believers do this, we allow the Rivers of Living Water to flow out of our belly (our center, our born again spirit). We allow God show up and to show out His miracles, signs and wonders through us, His Body!
