Day 58

Walking with Isaiah, Day 58: This Chapter is about our sinful rebellion against God being made known unto us; our living with both feet in our fleshly desires and in the ways of this world and then "playing church" on Sunday.

This is not what Father has called us to.  He tells us that when we cease to walk as the world walks and we stop "playing Christian", then exceeding great, precious, powerful and glorious things shall be wrought by our, the Church's, the believers', hands.

"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?" - Isaiah 58:6.

Who is the one that shall "break every yoke"?  “Ye”.  That’s King James English for “YOU”.

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they..." - Mark 16:17.

Jesus said, ”Them that believe" shall "break every yoke”.

Who shall break every yoke?  Not just Christians.  Not just them that believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Christians that shall “break every yoke” are “them that believe” that “these signs shall follow them”.

Sadly, much of the Body of Christ does not believe Jesus when He says, “These signs shall follow them”.  But, God’s Word is Truth, no matter what our religious traditions teach about what God has said with His mouth.

Beloved Christian!  Your Father has called YOU!  Not the Apostle.  Not the Prophet.  Not the Evangelist.  Not the Pastor.  Not the Teacher.  Not the Deacon.  Not the Elder.  YOU.  He has called YOU to “break every yoke”.

Not in and of yourself.  Of course not.  No one can.  What removes the burden?  What destroys the yoke?

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” - Isaiah 10:27.

The Anointing removes the burden and destroys the yoke.

“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 38 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” - John 7:38-39.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 15 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” - John 14:12-14.

"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?" - Isaiah 58:6.

God’s Word is Truth or it is not.  We choose what we believe.

We can choose to watch the game from afar, at home.  Or, we can get a ticket and be in the crowd.  Or, we can sit on the sidelines and watch from the bench.  Or, we can get in the game and do the signs, wonders and miracles which Jesus told “them that believe” shall do.

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” - Ephesians 4:11-15.

It is time for the Church to grow up into a mature, full-grown man “unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”.
